The Month in Photos

Happy New Year everyone! 2013 was a pretty incredible year for us with the cross-country move, Ian's new job, buying our first home and of course, the birth of Augusta. This coming year we're looking forward to a bit less excitement and settling in as a family of three. If 2014 brings us even a fraction of the joy of 2013, we'll be in for another great year.

 A lovely Oregon day.

 Parkman family hike.

Nap time.

 Our Christmas tree!

A very awake baby, very late at night.

 Buddies.

Jack and Lola love posing for the camera.

 A very snowy Eugene.

The Christmas tree in Pioneer Square.

I-5 clouds.

This photo makes my heart melt a little bit.

My favorite thing under the tree.

A touch of New Mexico in North Portland.

Gussie's (and Ian's) First Christmas

We had a very merry Christmas as a family of three!

Anxiously awaiting present-opening time!

My very own Christmas angel :).

Ian's subtle tactic for turning my brother into an Arsenal fan.

 One more family portrait.

We also had a nice time celebrating with the LaDus. Glad to be back  in town for the annual Christmas dinner at my grandparents' house.

New Hair Do

I'm getting my hair done tomorrow and plan to have a few inches taken off. I like my long hair, but it really isn't very practical with a baby. It gets in Gussie's face when I hold her and her little fingers get tangled in it. I want something low maintenance that embraces my natural waves.  The looks below are what I'm shooting for:

Love this color!

I'll post a couple before and after pictures later in the week :).

Portland Bazaar

This afternoon Ian, Gussie and I headed over to the Portland Bazaar to do some holiday shopping. It was fun to check out the local shops with lots of handmade goods. The Bazaar runs through tomorrow so be sure to check it out if you are in the area and have a free afternoon. More photos below:
